This month we had a great turnout, and in honour of the theme some folks even wore masks! With lots of submissions from local animators there was a real buzz as people gathered in the space to meet up and see each others work.
Nathanael hosted the night and had the pleasure of announcing the two finalists, Jacob Winkler for ‘highest average score’ and Megan Jo Nairn for ‘highest number of ratings’. Their animations were shown again and with a show of hands the audience declared Megan our official MASK WINNER.
September’s theme will be running in conjunction with the Melbourne Fringe Festival with the theme of DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. We’ll have a selection of loops showing on permanent rotation in a space called The Warren throughout the festival, with two screenings at the end of the month to look forward to. We’ll announce more details shortly, but rest assured that September is shaping up to be our best month yet!
